donna-sloan-memphisDonna Sloan is the music director at St. Brigid Catholic Church in southeast Memphis, a position she has held for 20 years. She directs the Parish choir and the Contemporary ensemble, and is the organist and pianist for all the masses. As a soloist for the Schola Cantorum, Diocesan events, guest soloist for church concerts, and back –up vocalist for John Angotti, she brings her gifts to many styles of music ranging from Renaissance to Contemporary Christian music. A cradle Catholic, Donna began singing in her church’s folk choir in Murfreesboro, TN age at age 10, and at 16 began playing piano for mass. She attended MTSU and studied organ and piano. She was involved in music at various churches in Ft. Worth TX, and the Shreveport/Bossier LA area before moving to Memphis in 1992. Since moving to Memphis, she has studied conducting, organ, and voice with Dr. Kelly Kramer. She, her husband Steve, and their daughter Kelsey, 17, reside in Olive Branch MS.
